My Carolina Notebook: My entire family rented an amazing house in Corolla a few years back. Complete with wrap-around porches, tons of bedrooms, and a chef quality kitchen (a homemade Shrimp boil feast was the order of the day!), our visit to the Outer Banks ws nothing short of spectacular!
We travelled up and down the coast that week, seeing most of the landmark lighthouses. It was unbelievable to climb the Hatteras lighthouse once and for all! Looking out to the wide expanse of the Atlantic Ocean still cnjours up great memories to this day!
The Outer Banks is truly a different experience. It’s a little more laid back than some other beach destinations, with more focus on enjoying the ocean and nature.
We went there during August, and were able to check out Sea turtles hatching, all the while being protected by the locals, who form groups that monitor this habitat.
I hope this helps your search for North Carolina vacation rentals on the beach!
