I live, work, and travel in this region, and I would like to share all the special things with you! This blog is a labor of love, and I hope you get information you can use to determine where to visit!
I’ve always had a heart for travel! I’ve been to many places, but the Carolinas provides a wealth of destinations, whether you desire mountains or sea (or something in between), all within close proximity!
With a background in journalism, a love of photography, and a desire to explore, I want to share some of this with you!

From the Mountains to the Sea
Our region of the country features a diverse set of options nearby! From the mountainous regions of North and South Carolina, namely areas such as:
Cherokee, and Spartanburg,
to the glorious coastal regions of the Outer Banks,
and Myrtle Beach.
We also frequently visit our next-door neighbors (Virginia and Tennessee), so I felt it appropriate to add some coverage of areas in those states of particular interest, namely Virginia Beach and Williamsburg in Virginia and Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg in Tennessee.
From Big Cities to Small Towns
As we move across this fantastic area, we also cover the mid-section of each state with comprehensive travel guides on places such as:
Winston Salem, with its’ history and charm;
Raleigh, the NC state capitol;
Durham and Chapel Hill college towns with undeniable appeal and “vibe”;
and Columbia, South Carolina’s capital.
Small regions with huge appeal include the Yadkin Valley, with its’ growing winery scene.
Never fear if you don’t see somewhere else you are looking for, as our content and travels are always expanding!
In addition, I take requests! If there are areas, towns, or things to discover that you want to see, feel free to drop me a line, and I’ll add it! This blog serves as a connection between us, and I want to offer the experiences that you want! Also, I love to travel, so researching new spots previously not covered is perfectly fine with me!
